The digital collection for the Sherwood Croghan Papers includes a photo album,scrapbook, sheet music, manuals, and artifacts all related to his service in World War II. Croghan was raised on a farmstead in the Griswald, Iowa area. He left school in the 8th grade to work on the family farm and continued there until enlisting. During WWII he first worked as a stable boy for horses and later switched jobs to become a dog trainer.
