Abstract/Description: Two scrapbooks were created in 1920-1955 by Howard E. Ohman. One of the scrapbooks has been digitized and presented here. This scrapbook -One contains primarily of photographs and newspaper clippings as well as ephemera such as programs and correspondence. Many of the newspaper clippings are related to Chess Tournaments as Howard E. Ohman was a leading Chess player at Omaha and won the Nebraska State Championship a number of times. Highlights from the photographs include photographs of Camp Sheldon and Omaha Hi-Y at Camp Sheldon (1924). Title of some of those materials include: "Mrs. Grant F. Fischer a July Bride"; obituary "Mrs. Frank G. Smith Dies, Ill for 3 years"; the list of members at West Minister Presbyterian Church Christian Endeavor Society; "Ohman Tries to Capture Moore's King, Omaha Chess Club"; "Church Picks H. E. Ohman As New Director"; a letter from Arch. H. Dinsmore; the list of guests to the Watermelon Feast; "Ruth Ellis Plans Bridal"; "Carl Weigel is dead, Y Athletic's Leader"; "Mrs John C. Kennedy in Her Bridal Gown."
