In January of 2001, Tom Gouttierre, University of Nebraska at Omaha Dean (1974-2015) of International Studies and Programs and Director of the Center for Afghan Studies, was interviewed by Jack Newton for Reflections in Time. Professor Tom Gouttierre was born in Maumee, OH. He received a B.A. and an M.A. from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. In 1987, Professor Gouttierre received the UNO Chancellor's Medal.
