Reflections in Time: Interview with Kirk Naylor, 1981

In 1981, Kirk Naylor, former Municipal University of Omaha (OU) President (1967-1968) and University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Chancellor (1968-1971), was interviewed by Paul Borge for Reflections in Time. Kirk Naylor graduated from McPherson College in McPherson, KS, and received an Ed.D. (1952) from the University of Kansas. In 1952, he became Professor of Education at Fort Hays (KS) State College and later moved to the same position at Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford, OK. In 1960, Kirk Naylor arrived at OU as Professor of Education and Dean of Administration. In 1967, Professor Naylor became the final OU President and, when the institution merged with the University of Nebraska, the first UNO Chancellor. After being replaced as Chancellor during the summer of 1971 he returned to teaching as a Professor of Education.
